As part of updating the Environmental Program for Metalloinvest, we carried out on-site audits of the company’s key enterprises: the Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant, the Lebedinsky and Mikhailovsky Mining and Processing Plants (GOKs), and Ural Steel Plant (which at that time was part of Metalloinvest group of companies).

The audit covered a wide range of issues, with the main focus on air emissions, management of wastewater discharge and recycled water supply systems, hazardous materials management, and waste management.

Particular attention was paid to the assessment of the state of tank farms and soil contamination issues. A separate survey was conducted specifically for these purposes.

Business processes were also reviewed, and the areas of the environmental management system with potential for optimization were identified.

Based on the results of the audit, detailed reports were prepared, an in-depth presentation was delivered to company management, and the company’s Environmental Program and action register were updated.
