Within the framework of the development project of Pulkovo Airport (Saint Petersburg) on the basis of public-private partnership, Branan Environment consultants conducted background environmental studies of the airport area.

The work included preparing a survey program and coordinating it with the client, obtaining all the necessary approvals from the airport services for drilling more than 100 boreholes, unexploded ordinance, sampling groundwater from existing wells, excavating more than 10 trial pits, and performing other work in the current airport.

The results were presented in the report, which contained a ranking of sources of contamination and proposed methods of remediation of contaminated areas, including recommendations for soil management during earthworks.
